Sawyer had his first post chemo scans today. His chest CT was clear and his leg X-ray looks very reassuring. His blood counts are heading towards normal. We are cautiously optimistically moving forward ❤️. Friday he is supposed to begin the casting process for the socket to build his prosthetic. That will take weeks to make once he is casted. Saturday he has a brain mri- a check in from the methotrexate toxicity back in January. They will be calling us soon to schedule port surgery removal soon. From there we are moving into three month check ups.
Over the weekend, Sawyer discovered he can still play cornhole and darts (with a little balance support). That brought him joy!
We are grateful and nervous going forward. Looking forward to just living in the in between. Keep on praying for Sawyer and our family!!!
