Sara’s Story

Site created on March 3, 2021

Welcome to Sara Tibbetts Caring Bridge site. We’ve created this site to update you all on our sister’s journey with cancer. Sara has received the news that her cancer is back and has been declared an aggressive stage 4. They are labeling it metastatic breast cancer which means her original cancer from 2 years ago is back and it has spread. She found a lump in her neck which brought her to the doctor where a CT scan was done the following day. We are thankful for your prayers and encouraging messages as Sara embarks on this journey.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Susie Rell

As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ladies please remember to schedule your annual mammograms and to do your self checks!

Sara wanted to provide everyone with an update on her Breast Cancer journey.....While the cancer remains in her body it is not growing and some areas have actually decreased. Her brain however is not doing the best, in comparing MRIs from 2 months ago to one a few weeks ago the number of spots increased from 18 to 25 plus. She has been told medically no further direct radiation can be done as there are too many spots. The docs are allowing her only 1 additional brain radiation as she will have hit her max on that option. Her oncologist is working on getting her into a medical trial, details are unknown at this time.

Continued thoughts and prayers are being requested!
