Boy, I sure don’t miss masking and heading to Deaconess every week!

Today was my 3 month check-up with my oncologist. Everything is looking great! I had my 6 month follow up with my breast surgeon and everything was great there, too. I had a bone and ct scan Monday to make sure that the summer diagnosis of NO metastatic cancer was true and the scans and bloodwork continue to show nothing. Thank goodness!

I will now see the breast surgeon once a year. What a relief that is! I continue to see my oncologist every three months until the fall and then I move to every 6 months. I have anxiety prior to every visit, so this will be nice.

Even when active treatment is done there is a lot left to deal with. Give hugs to those around you who are on this journey. It lets them know you haven’t forgotten the burden they bear, even if it’s not very visible.
Enjoy the coming sunny days! I will report back in after my phase two surgery in June 🤗😊
