Journal entry by Sarah Owings —
I appreciate all of the prayers, texts and calls since my last post. As I said before, even though we've been here before, this time is so different. My grandad reminded me "you don't want the cancer to find you, you want to find the cancer". He is full of these witty sayings, but I could not agree with him more. The first time, the cancer found us, and this time, I'm thankful that we found the cancer.
I will have radiation tomorrow, March 5, at 11. It will be a 36 minute treatment, and I will visit with the doctor before heading home. I'm both excited and nervous for this step. Excited to get it done and those little spots taken care of. Nervous for the unknown. I'll have an MRI in two months. They've also called and scheduled the lutathera treatments. Similar to the last time, I will have 4 total treatments every other month. The first will be Friday, April 5.
My sister is due with her second child, a little boy, on March 12, so we're all on baby watch. Looking forward to celebrating God's gift of life, both for myself and her little boy.
