It has been a year since my operation.....This past year has been one of getting stronger and healing little by Little. LOL my girls (Amy and Anne) tell me I look better now than before the operation. Hair is filling in. I lost 60 pounds (thanks to chemo) and I am able to do most of the things I could do before but at a lesser rate: Walking for me means shorter distances or I need oxygen. I don't like wearing oxygen because it says "Look at me...I am a handicapped person!" but, I will wear it when I need it like grocery shopping, walking longer than 100 yards or exerting myself doing something. I am able to go to church again, attend my women's Bible Study and do Pulmonary Therapy.

My life is returning to normal with each new thing I am able to do. My children and grandchildren and of course Bob keep me busy. Anne and her husband live nextdoor to us which is wonderful because I can see Trent (my first grandchild 19 months) almost every day. Bob and I try to visit Jon, Logan and Maeve on Sunday afternoons. They live 15 minutes from our house in Firestone...our Maeve is almost a year old.  Amy lives in Windsor so we are all close by.

Last Friday I went to the ballet, Cinderella in Denver with two friends. Praise God that I am alive and able to enjoy more of a normal life than last October after the surgery. Hoping to be able to go to Captiva in March....the hurricane, Ian, did a real number last year on the island...the same day as my operation. We are both healing slowing and coming back!
