Journal entry by Sarah Armstrong —
Well last Wednesday I went into the Er for pain, shortness of breath and some other little issues. The ER admitted me that night. They found fluid around my lungs and a small blood clot in my right lung. We changed up some meds for pain and also the Dr said I would need to do the lovenox(blood thinner) injections for the foreseeable future. It seems the lovenox injection works better that the pill I was previously taking. So I am home now and it seems I am struggling with shortness of breath. We are getting oxygen for the times when my blood oxygen levels are low.
As far as chemo goes we have stopped my current med and I will be heading to KU med to see what trials are good for my cancer. My appointment for KU med is June 8th. I will keep you updated and thank you so much for the prayers. I am just taking it one day at a time. Just trying to feel better. I’m tired of being in pain and just not able to be normal.Dylan girlfriend Sylvia is here visiting and decided to stay longer to help out. What a blessing!
