In late June of 2019, Sandy was diagnosed with MDS, Myelodysplastic Syndromes. In a nutshell, it is where your bone marrow stops producing healthy blood cells. Over time, MDS will progress to acute myeloid leukemia.

We hope to have updates posted frequently regarding treatment and Sandy’s progress. Please be patient if it takes a while but don’t let that discourage you! Visit often and consider signing up for email alerts when updates are made. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

She is at peace

Early this morning, Sandy went home to heaven. She went peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family and her heart full of love. She will be desperately missed and forever remembered. We are already having experiences of mom letting us know she is still with us, in funny ways only Sandy would do.
