Allow me to honor Sandy one more time as I promised I would.  Sandy was everything that I wanted in a wife, friend and companion.  Living with her for these past 35 years has been my life's privilege.  I've experienced her love, her daily care and her consistent expressions of kindness to those who chose to be in relationship with her.  Sandy did not think of herself as being "special" in any particular way.  However Mike and I have observed her special quality of care for so many people as we felt her daily care for us.   Sandy loved her mom, dad and her sisters, Linda and Kathy.  She loved Mike, Luisa (his fiancee) and their dog Billy.  She loved all of her nephews, nieces and in-laws from her family and mine.  She loved her friends from her own "early days" and her friends that she made when we settled in Walpole.  She loved her fellow Montessori teachers as well as many of the teachers and social workers who worked with me. She loved all of Mike's friends, especially those closest to him: Stephen, Brad and Al.  All of you who have followed Sandy's "cancer journey" for the past 15 months have felt some expression(s) of her love.  Sandy faced her diagnosis with faith and hope.  She tried her best to overcome so many of the disappointments with the ongoing results of her treatment.  What Mike and I came to realize is that maybe all of the love that she's shared with so many people over her lifetime "must have" given her the strength that we both witnessed firsthand.  As I write this to you all, I'm focused on Sandy's obituary that says "Sandy McGrath".    To be honest, I've never known of or heard of a family member or ancestor with the McGrath name who has made as much of a difference in the world than Sandy.   I know that at the moment, I'm focused on the difference in "my world" but it feels great to know that so many of you have experienced her  "blessings".  So thank you all again, you've made such a difference to Mike and I.  We are forever grateful that you shared this journey with us.
