Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Sandra was born Sandra Joann Stover on July 11, 1937 to Virginia (Millhouse) and Harold (Hal) Stover at Group Health Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

She graduated high school with an athletic letter from Roosevelt high school in 1955. She was an avid dance roller skater to swing, Fox trot and jitterbug. She made her own competition costumes.

One day a young man was playing organ at the rink and she taught this country man to dance on skates and be her partner. Sandy married her partner, Warren Anderson April 20, 1957.

They settled in their bungalow in North Seattle and gave birth to their only child Dixie (Anderson) Becker on February 23, 1961.

In 2004, while Dixie was pregnant with her only child Daniel, Warren was diagnosed with early stage dementia. In the last two years of the journey, Warren was diagnosed with progressive Altzheimers. He passed away June 30, 2015.

Now Sandy at 81, has a dementia diagnosis.

Journal entry by Dixie Becker

A week ago I was called that Mom was positive for covid. She had mild symptoms but she turned worse today with a deepening cough and is so weak she is bedridden now.

She is confused and thinks she just has a bad cold.
So prayers are needed
