Journal entry by Sandra Thorenson —
Hi everyone. I had my first radiation treatment today and will continue with 29 more for sure. They did my brain MRI yesterday and the results came back showing I have brain cancer. A 1 1/2 inch lesion on the left frontal bone and a small tumor on the right back side in the soft portion of the brain. The radiologist feels they can take care of the small one in back, but thinks it best to just keep tabs on the one in the bone since it is very difficult to get any tissue sample in that area. He said surgery could be an option but not one he would recommend. He said these spots may have been larger before the chemo and since the chemo has done a good job on other areas already his hope is that it may also take care of this lesion. They will do another PET scan when my treatments are over and decide what the next plan of attack will be.
Keep praying! I know the prayers are working. Love all my prayer warriors and my heart is overflowing with gratitude for each of you. ❤️❤️❤️
