Sandra’s Story

Site created on February 8, 2021

On February 2nd 2021 our mother Sandra was diagnosed with a cancerous sarcoma tumor in her lower abdomen. Treatment will start Wednesday, February 10th, which will include chemotherapy and radiation to allow surgery to remove the tumor in the coming months. Sandy is in good spirits and we are hoping and praying for a good outcome. This will inevitably be a long process and we know Sandy would appreciate the support of all who read this. Sandy is a beloved secretary at Lakewood elementary school. Her love for children and caring for others shines through at this job. If you have had the pleasure of meeting Sandy you are greeted by her bubbly and outgoing personality. This will certainly impact the whole family, including her three children as we near the 10 year anniversary of our father and Sandy's husband Brian passing from cancer. Emotions are high right now, but we know with the love and support of the community as well as lots of prayer, we will get through this challenging season together.
