Once again, on behalf of my family, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you for all of the prayers and support.

It may seem like his cancer journey was short, however, we now know the pain and symptoms he was experiencing for months prior to his diagnosis, was due to the side effects of the pancreatic cancer.  We wish we would have known a little sooner so that the doctors could have helped manage his pain.  But that is the awful nature of pancreatic cancer.

My mom told me that my dad was in so much pain that Saturday evening, two weeks ago, that he said to call 911.  He then put his coat and hat on and waited outside in front of the house for the ambulance.

We plan on a private family burial. My dad’s site is located in the Garden of Christus at Rest  Haven Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI.

A celebration for life for family and close friends is being planned for early May.

Thank you for sharing this journey with us!

Renee

I know my mom would greatly appreciate any small gesture of condolence…a simple card with a note sharing a memory of Sam, a simple meal, and even a simple gift card to Walmart.
