Journal entry by Sally Brown

Today is already one day shy from being one month post op from my surgery date , troubles I’m still having are I still can’t sleep very well I have to take sleep pills which I never had to take in my life just to try to get me back in my pattern after being in the hospital so long and after being sick for so long with my sleep pattern being all over the board sleeping any time of the day and night when ever I dosed off at the hospital. The pain in my stomach has gotten a bit better but still having some very intense pain around the stoma aka around Charlie which hurts a lot , it hurts every time she has a bowl movement which I’m not suppose to be feeling that , I can definitely tell y intestines are not working like they should be and probably never will again like a normal person again because I am not a normal person and every time I have a surgery done like this it seems like more and more they stop working . When they start to come back alive more of a  greater percentage each time they are effected in a negative way to not working permanently for me , they add to my slow motility in an even greater rate . My bowls stay inflamed and irritated causing my stomach to bloat all the time and cause so much pain when I eat very little and drink even very little even when it’s just water . I get so hungry my stomach hurts so I have to eat then when I do eat my stomach hurts so bad my intestines hurt so bad I feel like I’m gonna throw up , I’m in pain all the time . It’s a life I wouldn’t wish on anyone . The headaches all of a sudden I can’t get to go away not even with taken Tylenol and I drink water with electrolytes I also take meds for chronic migraines but for some reason these headaches aren’t letting up . My ankles and feet and calves were swelling up I can’t even go for a long car ride without them swelling up . It’s a good thing I have my next appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester tomorrow Friday the 12th . Our stoma aka Charlie she’s still having issues with her bag so our stoma nurse will be addressing that issue also and I see my follow nurse for surgery . Well I hope you alll out there are doing better than I am . I wish you alll well and lots of love . Please don’t forget to check out my go fund me page if you’d like I’ll also post more pics of my surgery days soon to come . Thank you allll peace and love 🙏🤗❤️😘 love Sally
