Its been one week since Corbin has gone to heaven.  Today was going to be a big milestone for us because 24 weeks is often a better chance of survival and less complications.  We had an ultrasound scheduled to see his growth and make a plan for the upcoming week.  Unfortunately, God had different plans for us today.

One week without him seems like a lifetime; we miss him so much.  We have had family and friends here to visit, comfort, and support us which has been amazing, but we still find moments of sadness and sorrow knowing he is never going to live in this house with us.  We are continuing to find signs from Corbin and God in our daily lives which make us smile knowing he is here even if we can't see him.  

We are going to celebrate Corbin on Aug 6th at 2pm at our house.  We want EVERYONE there! Bring your spouses and families as well (we will have things for the kids to do).  There are several hotels in the area if you need a place to stay let us know we can give some suggestions. Please RSVP to Shane or myself so we can get a count for food.  We hope you all can make it!

The money will go to cover some cost of the celebration but majority will go to two organizations that have become important to us in the last several weeks.  You may also donate directly to them in remembrance of Corbin.

Ronald McDonald House of Madison - at St Mary's hospital the RMHC is a place where families can stay when their child is in the NICU.  It is also a place to go and get out of your room if you are there for a longer stay (like I was). https://www.rmhcmadison.org/
