Welcome to Ryland’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportWe started the day with a family breakfast at Jexi's, dropped Felicity at school then made the short commute to GB St Vincent.
Unfortunately due to issues with his port we were unable to get treatments today. They did a TPA, but we're unable to get drawback. They checked with X Rays as well. So, tomorrow him and Lindsay will go back and connect with interventional radiology in order to do a line study. If he's unable to get blood drawback from the port, that means that Labs would require another poke.
We're kind of stuck until we know more information.
Later in the day he said he didn't even feel the poke! But he sure did let us know he wasn't excited about it happening.
We hung out in the clinic together as a family time spent with snuggles, games, and coloring. A visit from Sam the therapy dog, working with child life and connecting with our social worker at St. Vincent helped the day go by more smoothly. We were snuggly with our special blanket signed by Ryland's classmates and amazing Tanner staff.
We also got to show off his new lights on his wheelchair!
Ryland was very excited to get mail today and this mystery sender made his day brighter and filled with laughter as we read The Tale of Two Kitties.
