Ryan’s Story

Site created on April 5, 2019

I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in April of 2019. Two resections and a full round of chemo led to no evidence of cancer in November 2019. In August of 2020, I experienced GI symptoms and went to the ER. After surgery, more cancer was found. I had HIPEC and further cancer reduction surgery.

Cancer is a ruthless disease that doesn't care what other problems you've overcome in the past. It doesn't care about the depression or anxiety you've kept in check, or the cerebral palsy you've dealt with since birth. It is a force to be dealt with head on.
