The time in Texas has been far from easy. Lots of back and forth, indecisiveness, and road blocks. 

 

The surgeons decided against doing another surgery. They expressed that the surgery could potentially do more harm than good. 

 

Insurance has been a huge road block and wouldn’t let Ryan continue treatments in Texas. So, Ryan was discharged yesterday afternoon. Randy Cundy, Jenny and Ryan are making the driving journey back to South Dakota.  They hope to make it back late tonight. Rhett and Grandma Kathy flew back yesterday. 

 

Treatment plans are being sent to Sioux Falls for them to start shortly. 

 

There are a number of areas that the family could use prayers on.

- Safe travels back to South Dakota!

- Ryan is feeling down, so lifting him up. 

- Peace in the journey. 

- Patience for all. 

- Ryan’s long road to recovery. Another craniotomy is a lot. Healing physically, mentally, as well as emotionally. The road he will continue on will be very hard. The doctors have stated that what has happened, pain and all, is nothing compared to what will be coming. So big prayers to have strength to press on even in the lowest of lows. 

- Trusting in God and His plan.

- Prayers to Jenny as she continues in the care taker role, as well as the needs of Rhett and the farm. 

- Prayers to Rhett that he will have patience and understanding while his daddy is sick. Help him bring a smile to his daddy’s face. 

- Lord look after and help guide the family and friends of Ryan and Jenny. This is a journey Ryan, Jenny and Rhett simply cannot do alone. It is going to be a hard and long road. May you help bring positivity, strength, encouragement, and support to Ryan and Jenny. They are going to need positive and supportive family, friends and community in a number of areas.
