Journal entry by Ruthie Pasek

This March marks one year of being cancer free. As a way to thank God for my life, health and the ability to run, I have decided to run a half marathon. This race is very special to us (my brother and birth mom and I) as we will be running the Asheville Half Marathon as a part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team in Training. Not only are we physically training for this race, but as a part of this team we will be raising money for groundbreaking cancer research and advancements in the fight against cancer. We created a team and are all working together to raise money and motivate each other to reach our goal. Our team name is #withasmile.

As our cherished family and friends, there are several ways you can support our team. Those are:

-Make a tax deductible donation to the LLS through our team fundraising page:

https://pages.lls.org/tnt/mi/ashvle20/withasmile

-Follow our facebook page (@withasmile.half) for updates and other possible upcoming fundraisers (search withasmile)

-Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we train through the cold winter

Thank you so much for all of your support and love. If you have any questions or fundraising ideas for us, please reach out! We couldn’t do it without you!

Love,

Team #withasmile
