Nanny met with her oncologist this past week to discuss what is next and they have decided it is best to call hospice in the home as she is so weak and frail. Papa Raymond has been caring for her since she came home and has done great, but they need someone to care for them in the days ahead. We don’t know the timeline the Lord has planned for our sweet, baby-loving Nanny, but we are trusting in His perfect plan. She told me just a few days ago that she wants to be able to keep her 3 boys (Heaton, Henning, and Hembree) one last time and that she wants to meet Annie Ruth when she is born.
Nanny has days that she can eat 3 very small meals and others that she can only eat a few bites all day. Their refrigerator is bursting from the overload of food that everyone is bringing and she loves the visitors that are coming by. Hospice has started coming a few times during the week and is always available if they need it.
Please pray for Nanny as she endures the days ahead. She is always on the go and being confined to home is hard on her. Pray for Papa as he continues to care for her. He is really doing great, but he needs assistance with some things. Pray for all of us as we prepare for the days ahead and what they may bring.Thank you all for the prayers that have already been said and the many to come.
