Ray’s Story

Site created on March 31, 2020

We had planned to have our best Christmas ever. We scheduled a trip and were going to make memories instead of collecting stuff. Every single detail was planned and we couldn’t wait to surprise the kids.

Instead, on December 25 we were told Ray has bile duct cancer. The days and weeks that followed have been the biggest roller coaster ride we’ve ever experienced. Emotions at every turn. Bad news. Good news. Great news. Horrible news. So much hard and so many unknowns.

Faith. Fear. Love. Pain that I’ve never known.

Ray is my person. My love. My gift from the Father.

Please join me in boldly praying for quick, complete healing in the name of Jesus. I beg you to lift up faith-filled, miracle expecting prayers on his behalf. Our family believes in a BIG God.

After countless hours of research and prayers, along with the recommendation of his doctors’, Ray has chosen to undergo a Whipple procedure. The complex operation will be performed this Thursday by pancreatic specialists in Orlando, Florida.

Please check this CaringBridge site for updates on Ray and our family’s journey. We appreciate all of your prayers, support, and words of hope and encouragement.
