Roxy’s Story

Site created on July 26, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  We plan to use this site to keep everyone updated as I and my family seek to walk faithfully before God in these coming days.

He [God] guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psa. 23)

A brief synopsis:
In June and early July, I (Roxy) began to experience fatigue and emotional "flatness".  We thought this might be just side-effects from the anti-seizure medicine I've been taking since the seizure I had "out of the blue" in November, 2017.  However, on July 7 a bad headache woke me up in the middle of the night and persisted for the next 2 days.  On Monday morning I began to throw-up and we were advised to go to the ER.  Since the neuro-specialist who saw me for follow-up care after the November seizure was at Jefferson University Hospital in downtown Philly, we decided to drive there.  Looking back, we know this was of the Lord!  An MRI clearly revealed that what they thought in December was simply a congenital cortical dysplasia located in my left frontal lobe had now morphed into a grade IV Glioblastoma Multiforme tumor.  On July 11 Dr. Andrews performed a very successful surgical removal of the tumor.  It's amazing how well I have felt since and there has been no pain – I am so grateful to God!  Although the prognosis is not good, I know that "nothing is impossible with God", so I am at rest in the knowledge that He loves me and He knows exactly what is best!

Bob and I are humbled and deeply encouraged by the prayers, the practical support and the loving generosity of so many!  It seems so inadequate, but thank you, thank you to everyone for your prayers and encouragement!! The Lord is so good to us and is taking care of us so graciously!!!

Journal entry by Robert Scott

I've come to find out that the server account that hosts Kardian Ministries that I uploaded the video to has a relatively low bandwidth limit. This was quickly reached as people accessed the video and now I believe it is inaccessible. I apologize for that.

It's now available on YouTube - Roxy's Memorial Service

Thanks for your patience,

Bob
