After 2 months of paperwork processing Rowdy has finally been accepted into the Polytrauma Transitional Program. The Tricare approval paperwork required signatures from layers of military including a General! We will be heading to Richmond, VA on Sunday. There are only 6 similar programs throughout the country offering a transitional community based program for all branches of active duty military. Another huge benefit of this facility is that it's close to family in VA and Maryland not to mention in the heart of Richmond surrounded by 7 of the best girlfriends on earth!!!!
Last week we found out Rowdy would not have to return to Texas and would be attached to the Fort Bragg, NC Warrior Unit. While waiting for word from Richmond this week Rowdy began his journey at Fort Bragg. He has spent the week in processing into the Warrior Unit. His new unit welcomed him with open arms. He has spent the past week involved in PT and a variety of appointments. He was assigned a barrack room that he will move into once returning from Richmond.
Rowdy continues to work on his walking, balance, coordination and speech. Fort Bragg completed a complex eye exam this week and ordered glasses that we hope will continue to improve his double vision. Thanks for the continues love, support and prayers-It's working!!
