Rowan continues to amaze us each and everyday! He was taken off NIPPV(non-invasive positive pressure ventilation) and placed on a high-flow nasal cannula (vapotherm) on Tuesday, July 16. We started on 4L of vapotherm and he has since been weaned to 2.5L and doing so well with low oxygen requirements. He has continued to gain weight and he is now at 4lbs 0.9oz! He was also placed in an open crib today, and maintaining his temperature! We are so unbelievably proud of our boy and the leaps and bounds he continues to conquer each day! Next steps are to continue to wean oxygen and for Rowan to start learning to eat via a bottle/breast. We appreciate all the prayers they are surely working.
