Journal

Hi all, many have asked for ways to pay tribute to Ross, and I can’t think of a better way than by supporting our community’s kids in playing sports.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Chapel Hill Youth Baseball and Softball League. This was an organization near and dear to Ross’s heart, and you can read about his passion for it just below, as shared by our good friend, Keith Harber.

Donations to the organization can be made at First Commerce Bank. Please make the check payable to: Chapel Hill Youth Baseball Softball League. You can bring it to either branch (Lewisburg or Chapel Hill), or you can mail it to: PO Box 296, Chapel Hill, TN 37034.
Or Venmo @CHYouth-BaseballSoftball

So that we know who to thank for this donation, please be sure to write “In Memory of Ross” in the memo line of your check.

Thank you all very much. ❤️

From Keith Harber, Board President:

Ross was a founding member of the Chapel Hill Youth Baseball and Softball League. He was part of the group that started with nothing, and now has over 250 kids every year playing in their own community. Ross was always the first one at the ballpark to help set up and always the last one to leave after a full day of games. He was always in a good mood and would always remind us of the bright side when things weren't going our way. Ross's impact on the lives of the children in this community is immeasurable. With his help, we are now in the final planning stages of a four field youth baseball and softball complex in Chapel Hill. We were told it would never happen, but Ross is one of the main reasons why it is about to. Ross didn't do it because it was the easiest way, but it was the right way. Ross has left a lasting impression on us all to always face challenges head on with a smile and a kind word or two. Our board members all care deeply for and will miss our good friend, Ross Brown.
