RoseAnn’s Story

Site created on December 2, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

RoseAnn is a wife, mother of three, grandmother of seven, great-grandmother of three, and so much more. Over the years, she has spent her time crafting, caring for animals and wildlife on their beautiful land, and as a regular and beloved member in their church community. RoseAnn has been married to her husband Victor for 60 years and the two have made a wonderful team, creating a loving and warm environment where all are welcome, including stray animals. RoseAnn and Victor have opened their homes to many lucky visitors, some whom have stayed and enjoyed the fenced in catio out back, and others that come and go knowing it is a consistent and safe place. RoseAnn also spent many years running her own craft store and flower shop where her creativity truly flowed. She is well-known for the many wreaths she would create and give away each holiday season. Most of all, RoseAnn has devoted time to loving, supporting, and being present for family and friends through holidays, sporting events, graduations, weddings, and more.

A few months ago, it became noticeable that RoseAnn's memory had begun to decline. At first, this appeared to be normal forgetfulness and was assumed to be nothing more than an element of the aging process. However, more recently, additional confusion and more significant memory impairment had become evident, at which time RoseAnn was brought to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN for further evaluation. There, an MRI revealed a brain tumor. RoseAnn underwent surgery to obtain a biopsy and further testing. Good news was noted when it became clear the tumor had not metastasized, however, due to the location of the mass, it can not be removed.  At this point, RoseAnn and family awaited further treatment planning and rehabilitation to assist with strength recovery. After many appointments with doctors and a lot of waiting, it was made clear that RoseAnn was not a good candidate for treatment. On Friday, it was determined that the best and most comfortable option for RoseAnn would be to enjoy her time in her home with her husband. Hospice has been arranged and her home has been made comfortable to accommodate her needs. Please keep RoseAnn and her family in your prayers as they navigate this difficult chapter and work to keep RoseAnn smiling and comfortable.
