Romney’s Story

It's not easy to put into a few words who Romney is, that's for sure!  He is a bit larger than life, but who he is today is just really a loving Son, Brother, Dad, Buppa, Uncle, Nephew, and Friend.  He is also a man who lives and works his recovery and a strong leader in Recovery for his friends who become his family.    On Tuesday, Romney was doing what he loves best, "scooting" on his bike (wind therapy he calls it) with his friend Michelle and his Monkey's (Rockin' Recovery Baby).   A black bear came out from the side of the road and he didn't see it.  Thank God Michelle was riding behind him, they were able to get 911 called and he was flown to the hospital in St. Paul.  He sustained life threatening injuries as well as many fractures.  Romney is a fighter, he will recover from this, of this we are sure!

I thought I would share this picture of Romney with you all. His friend stopped by this afternoon for a visit and Rom was able to sit on the bike, use his left foot as would be needed for shifting, and will just need to work on the right leg/foot for breaking (yeah, that's important!).
  He is doing fantastic and getting back on this bike (just to sit, not ride) was a huge pick-me-up for him.    

He is at home, doing his PT and working hard! He has work left to do, but is able to walk with a cane vs a walker and gaining strength every day.  ❤
