Roger ’s Story

Site created on October 1, 2021

Thursday night the Kruger family received terrible news that Roger had been in a farming accident. He fell from a grain bin and suffered multiple injuries. He was taken to Saint Mary's hospital to be looked after. His vitals had declined and was rushed to the OR. After several aginizing hours the doctors gave us news that they found the bleed and he is now stable. Due to his multiple breaks especially those in his pelvis he has had internal bleeding that was difficult to assess on arrival. Now stable the next few hours/days were to triage his injuries. He has had contraptions placed to stabilize his broken bones. He sustained other injuries and we are still waiting for Roger to be taken off of intubation and sedation to see if there is any brain trauma. We believe with our love and support and Rogers inability to quit that he will make a great recovery. It will be a long road, but we hope and pray that this stubborn farmer has more fight in him then we can imagine. The Kruger family has amazing support from close friends, family, and their community. Please keep praying for Roger and will continue to add updates.

Journal entry by Lenna Kruger

He is doing amazingly better every day. Even got himself in the shop today. He is now walking with a walker to gain strength. Thank you again for everyone's love and support. I am going to be taking this site down here shortly since there is less to less to report!
