Journal entry by Ashley Gunnufson

This is the official last post as Roger is getting released tomorrow to come home!!!!!

If you would have told me that 22 days after his accident he would be coming home I would have never believed you.  Roger has been doing amazing the last few days and everyday gets a bit stronger, walks a bit further and moves a bit more. All of his hard work has paid off and he will be making it home for Christmas. All our prayers have been answered. And on a personal note I get the only thing I want for Christmas, my husband to be home 💕

We still have a long road ahead of us. Roger will be getting PT, OT and speech therapy in our home a few times a week while he is still home bound. Eventually in the weeks and months to come he will be able to do outpatient therapy. For now we are taking it one day at a time. We are beyond grateful that he will be able to Connie this journey at home to rest, relax and heal in the comfort of our home.

Thank you everyone, we are beyond touched at the outpour of love and support our friends, families and coworkers have shown us. From the call, texts, cards, visits, gift cards, food as well as the go fund me support, the people in our lives. have really showed up both physically and emotionally for us.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  We will never be able to thank you enough.

So from Roger and myself we hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know we personally have a lot to celebrate this season.

💕 Thank you again and God Bless 💕
