Roddey had been keeping it to himself that he was experiencing dizziness until I noticed he was slurring his words and not walking in his normal gait. 
Little did I know, our drive to Lexington that Monday morning would drastically change our life. 
We arrived promptly to Lexington medical center for what we thought would be an outpatient MRI with the findings having something to do with fluid in his ears. They found a large mass on the right side of his brain along with a small mass on the left. We went from MRI to emergency room to be evaluated by a neurosurgeon where we learned it was not the primary tumor & more scans would be run. We went straight to ICU to start mega doses of steroids to get the swelling in his brain under control. The initial scan revealed a significant brain shift due to the swelling from the tumor and if we had waited until Tuesday to call the doctor he would be gone. "If the swelling increases beyond the current degree it will be catastrophic". 
By morning we were told the overnight scans revealed metastatic lung cancer. It has gone to his brain and surgery was indicated to remove the larger mass on the right side. Surgery was successfully preformed by Dr. Engh, neurosurgeon with Lexington Oncology. He is fabulous!! 
I prayed for the right medical team to be sent and God delivered Dr. Engh and all his colleagues.
We are going through this fight with Lexington Oncology but have not ruled out traveling to the end of the earth for treatment if needed. 
At this point Roddey has endured 4 of 4 radiation treatments to his brain.
As for treating from the neck down, it was determined the best pathological response to his case is going to be Immunotherapy. The treatment plan is every 3 weeks he will receive an Immunotherapy infusion. If all scans show positive response he will continue this for 2 years.
We are so blessed to know Jesus is our Lord and Savior. 
I can see the hand of God working in every area of this storm. Lexington medical wanted to schedule his initial scan on Tuesday...our nurses Allie said, "find an appointment today" and they did. I now learn he would not have lived until Tuesday. In the midst of hospital over crowding due to the pandemic...God opened an ICU room and provided top notch nursing care. I, along with so many, prayed over his treatment plan and God has delivered Immunotherapy. 
We are home in the comfort of our surroundings trusting God will keep us safe until the next treatment. 
I am looking at each infusion as a bag of strength building his immune system to fight this fight. 
I humbly ask for your prayers. Asking you to lift my precious husband to the Lord.
We are the children of the one true King. 
Our God is mighty.
Our God can move mountains. 
Our God works miracles.
I am asking Him for a miracle. 
We are fight this battle on our knees.
