I know I haven’t posted in a while but I’ve been feeling the need lately. First I need to thank all my family and friends, who have been so supportive, loving and kind! Can’t tell you how much you all mean to me - the quick text or email - the card out of the blue - it all gives me such joy and really helps to keep me going. Thank you All!
Today I started the Taxoal on a weekly basis. I have to admit I was nervous because this one can have some extreme issues with allergic reactions and neuropathy in the hands and feet. Fortunately, we had our couples Bible study on Monday and I talked about my concerns. They were very supportive and prayed for me but even more importantly they turned me back to the Scriptures - from which my mind had wondered in my anxiety (unfortunate tendency since that’s when we need it most) and God pointed me to exactly what I needed (as I have found is usually the case when I ask Him!).
Isaiah 41:13.
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
So few words to make such an amazing impact on me! Now there are many verses that start with God declaring who He is, but what made this verse exactly right for the moment was that it said “I am the Lord YOUR God”. It was like God personally reminding me that even though He is THE God of all creation, The I am, the greatest most important being on any list; He still sees me and loves me and cares for me individually. He will take MY hand - the most high God will take my hand and walk with me - the most high God told ME not to be afraid because He was with me and would help me! WOW - talk about perfect communication - of all the verses I could have come to He brought me to this one! Needless to say after meditating and praying on this all morning I went into MY treatment in peace! It went great so far - no reactions at all and I am praying that God will prevent the neuropathy too! Regardless, God is with me and that is all I need to know for now!
