Dear Friends and Family,

Reaching out to connect us all as we remember our beloved Rob moving to the other side one year ago, December 1. I'd like to share with you all some tales of Sailor's and my journey during these past several months. This is a marking of a cycle in the passage of time for us as we continue remembering our Robbie.

Sailor and I have experienced many beautiful moments of honoring Rob with our community of friends over these past several months. We had a 'Ride for Rob' fundraiser for Southwest Center for Grief during the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic in May.

So much gratitude for all the work we did at the schoolhouse in Mayday. It was a clearing for its future! Our work party was a big success in June, and I could not have done it without the support of everyone.

On to France we went, in order to share time with Famille Dequand in Le Vigan and Avignon. Spreading more of Rob's ashes with Marie and an expansive view overlooking the Valley of Bonheur (happiness) seemed appropriate as we all know how Rob felt about the area of Les Cevennes and his Famille in France.

Sailor is fortunate to have such solid roots in France just as she with family in Idaho. We returned to Colorado in time for her to backpack in the melting snows of the southern San Juans before heading up to Idaho to participate in Sun Valley Youth Symphony, an annual event. As well as a family wedding of my nephew Jarin to his beloved partner Jeremy.

Sailor sang for this wedding ceremony at the base of Galena Peak as we acknowledged their union and the way in which life moves onward with family celebrations and more healing.

Then back to school and a month of amazing concert going for Sailor. Including none other than Mike Scott and The Waterboys whom Rob Johnson took her to see and meet in NYC. An event she is unlikely to forget as she will always play and remember singing Whole of the Moon at the end of Rob's memorial service. Also since Uncle Kyle bought her a birthday gift of a guitar, she is taking up guitar skills to go along with her musicality expressed through violin, inging, and songwriting.

I want to express deep gratitude and love to everyone for the immense amounts of support shown through big and little efforts over this past year. Words cannot say enough for these acts of kindness. We all know RAK is watching over Sailor and keeping her nourished with signs of love seemingly out of no-where... ha! HE is everywhere at all times and we experience that here in Costa Rica as well. We are with family and friends at the ocean with endless waves and surf. Passing our first year anniversary without our beloved Rob on this side.

Lastly I would like to invite a grand toast to RAK on December 22 at 4:23, Rob's birthday. Uncle Kyle will be with us in Mayday as well as ALL those who wish to join us out in the canyon! We will build a big fire in the snow covered backyard and raise a glass showing Great Spirit our gratitude and love for Rob Kabeary.

Blessings and love to you all as you celebrate gratitude and peacefulness with your loved ones today and always

Nan
