Newest Update

Journal entry by David OBrien

Have been quite negligent in posting the last couple weeks as we readjusted to being home, therapy, follow ups etc. To make it straightforward Robin is doing amazingly well. She has some residual issues - some will get better over time and some will stay. But overall it's good. Saw the neurologist today for her first full followup.  She saw her after icu but before the Rock Hill rehab centers. She was amazed and had not expected her to walk with help in, answer all her questions, perform all her commands, talk (a lot), etc. It was a major Hemorrhagic stroke and she could have been a vegetable. She has 2 leftover damaged areas and there is a slight chance that she had a small tumor hiding under them so we will get another mri and make sure there isn't. It's a very small chance there was one. On a side note she was not impressed by my Arnold imitation at all  - " it's not a tumor!"
For those thinking about all the perils of age - I opened with trembling hands the finacials of her adventure - when I read "Page 1 of 63" I had a drink and then stretched out!
Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement and the generosity of the food goods!! It was a HUGE  blessing.
