Journal
To my friends who are still getting these messages, I wanted to update you on where I am at this time.
I have again been blessed with MRI and Cat scan that show no evidence of disease, and labs that are also normal.
I'm on the two year anniversary of surgery, directly ahead. After surgery, the doctor said "you're cured". I think I am finally starting to believe her.
I've been given some time to do things important to me. I've found my birth families on both sides which was a huge and major thing for me. I've always wondered who I am, why I was given up, and what the circumstances were. I have one older half sister on my mothers side, and 4 half siblings on the fathers side. No longer an only!
I've been in good health these two years except for the obvious follow-ups. Lucky for that as well.
I likely will not post here again for another year.
This cancer reoccurs in 85% of people who have a liver resection. Pretty high incidence. But, I'm going forward now thinking maybe I am in the 15% who make it.
I've had great prayers and thoughts from dear friends, and I'm convinced that made a difference.
I still have many quilts to finish, but as time goes on, the urgency is waning. I think it's a good sign.
Thank you for your concern, and prayers. They have made a difference for me.
Until a check in next year, Happy New Year.
Robin
