Journal entry by Rob Garbrecht

I wanted to let everyone know how appreciative I am of the many thoughts and prayers for me.  It has now been little more than a year since I initially experienced a brain bleed on New Year's Eve 2022 while vacationing in the New Mexico mountains with my family and friends.   I spent about three weeks in Covenant Hospital in Lubbock and another several weeks at Mercy in-patient rehab in OKC followed by several months of outpatient therapy at INTEGRIS in Edmond.

I am extremely pleased to report that I have completely recovered and have no adverse effects or restrictions on my life.  As unlucky as I was to have experienced the brain bleed, my recovery was that much more amazing.  I have been back to work since late Spring and everything is going great.

Going through something of this nature does, however, cause you to think about many things you may not have otherwise focused on.  That said, I really want to express my gratitude for all the love sent out to me and my family throughout the past year by all of you.  Those relationships are so special and something that I know I am extremely blessed to have in my life so thanks to all my wonderful family and friends.  Thank you also to the many health care providers who were with me from those initial dark times all the way through my complete recovery.  Mostly, I want to thank God for having my miraculous recovery in His plans.

I love you all,

Rob
