Robert’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Robert began chemo therapy August 2018 for Multiple Myeloma. He has 2 different chemo drugs and is on a 3 week cycle for treatment. His doctor said he is a great candidate for stem cell transplant, so that will soon be the next phase of his story. He has an appointment in St. Louis February 15th, at Barnes Hospital for pre-testing, including a new bone marrow biopsy.
As far as finishing chemo in Normal, he is scheduled to finish March 7th.

Journal entry by Karen Valouche

Woohoo🙏 😊 The bone marrow biopsy test showed 5% or less of cancer cells which they classified as 'normal'!!  The plan is the same now as it was, he will start back on a maintenance dose of the chemo Revlimid, on 3 weeks and then off 1 week, to 'keep the cancer at bay'. Praise the Lord for this news and thanks to all of you who have lifted up Robert in your thoughts and prayers.  So, so thankful for all of you.😘
