Hi everyone! Long time no update. I will not lie to you, this week has been ROUGH to say the least. But whenever we are down, dad shows up. 

Starting Thursday, dad is trying to talk to us!!! He moves his mouth in a way of talking, all though it is very hard to read lips, the fact he is even trying is HUGE. At times we can hear a little rasp in his voice, but it is hard to understand due to his tracheotomy. Today I saw him move his right leg during an exam and a respiratory therapist states he was wiggling his toes earlier this morning. From no movement to this in what seems like overnight is AMAZING. 

From going to just 5 days ago of doctors asking us serious long term care/prognosis questions about our dad that had us very sad and distraught to TODAY - him trying to talk and move his legs. The power of good thoughts and prayers ARE REAL. So keep it up to those who are wishing nothing but positives for him.

Tonight his sister Missy went to visit him and said “Best visit ever!” . The first time in 3 weeks dads eyes were wide open and staring out his window. And she was able to communicate with him.

His real recovery is starting NOW and we can’t not wait to see what his future holds. Please continue to pray and keep my father in his thoughts!  For those who have asked, we do have a GoFundMe set up, it should be under the “ways to help” tab on this page.
