On the evening of December 30th, 2022, Rémy was sitting in the back seat of a friend's car riding home from a dual birthday celebration in Portland and Freeport. They were traveling northbound on I-295 and had nearly come to a stop for another accident when the vehicle Rémy was in was struck from behind at highway speed. He was transported to Maine Medical Center directly and underwent surgery for 5 hours for a traumatic brain injury and pelvic fractures.

This was one of the hardest things for us to do.  As parents we have always told our boys we love them always and forever no matter what. We will always support each of them including celebrating their successes , lending a helping hand and promoting their legacies, Please continue to keep our boys in your thoughts. We couldn’t be more proud of all 3 of them!
