Today marks a whole week that River came into this world. It also marks the first day of “kangaroo care”. That’s when baby lays on moms chest, skin to skin, it helps baby and helps mom.
She did really well with it and it helped me relax a lot more. It was the best feeling that I think I have experienced. Feeling my little baby breathing and moving on my chest for first time is just amazing.
She still doesn’t have the PICC line because her veins are so small. They’re going to give her a few days to grow a little more and give her vein a rest for awhile.
She’s just overall doing really well. ❤️
