I wanted to thank each of you for visiting our site and for your love and support to Mitch, my family, friends, and to me. I/we appreciate all your words and encouragement shared here. I thought as long as I still had some time before the treatments began I would write this part. If anyone would of told me that almost a year to day of my Mother going home from her cancer battle that she would be coming back to see me through mine; or that only a week after celebrating 24 wonderful years together with Mitch & while still feeling so proud that Thunder had made the dock jumping finals in only his 2nd competition that I would be sitting in a surgeon's office deciding whether to have a single or double mastectomy due to having Breast Cancer, I would of thought them nuts. However that has come to pass & now this is our reality and it sucks!!! I always knew I had a good chance of getting cancer, because my Mom's side of the family; the Bells; produce cancer like rabbits reproduce, but I didn't figure it would be at the age of 48. If you are wondering how I am; well the answer is that I am angry, scared, and numb. I know there will come a time when I will return to being my old smart ass self, but that is not now. One of my greatest concerns, is that for those around me, especially Mitch and Mom as they will live through it each day with me. I hope and pray that they are given the love and support they need in order to make it through. So if you are wondering what you can do for me, take care of them and of yourselves!! All My Love, Rita
