Hello Friends and Family! 

It's Lauren, back with an update on our dear Rick/Dad/Uncle/Gpa. Today, Rick had a procedure to remove part of his liver due to some sneaky cancerous cells that were thankfully found early. His excellent care team and physician were very successful with the procedure - all went well and according to plan. 

Rick is currently out of recovery and resting in his hospital room. That famous sense of humor is indefatigable though, as he continues to crack jokes and smile with everyone. It's anticipated that he will be in the hospital for the next 4-5 days. 

The Lathrops would be sincerely grateful for your prayers, good wishes, and kind thoughts for Rick during this time of recovery and healing.
