Journal entry by Rick Larson —
Got behind on posting. Rounds 4,5 and 6 were pretty much the same, rumbly tummy and worn out. Little more sensitive to the cold, but it's fading at about the same rate each week.
On the 25th, had blood work and CT scans. Blood work for the most part was completely normal. Platelets have been down but stable. Scans showed a little more definition of some spots but nothing over 2mm. There was one line of cells that became more defined as well. Doctor thought it was good. I don't know if there was actual growth of tumors or if it is because of different equipment. All in all, I think it's a net zero change from the start of treatment.
Next week I'm going in for a laparoscopic exploratory procedure (punch a few holes in my tummy, fill me up with air and then take a small camera and look around my insides). This will allow the surgeon to see for himself where the cancer is and what's being affected by it. This will allow him to finalize a plan for the major surgery at the end of February.
