Journal entry by Bernadette Koski —
Dear Friends and Family,
It is with great sadness that I must report that Rich lost his battle with this horrible disease on Wednesday evening.
Our family celebrated a quiet Thanksgiving and our 44th wedding anniversary on Friday, but on Sunday he had a fall and had to go to Hackensack Hospital. While there, we learned that the cancer had spread to his spine and that further treatment would be futile. We were preparing to bring him home for hospice care when he passed away, with me and our daughter Alison at his side. Mercifully, Rich suffered very little pain.
We will be receiving visitors at Becker Funeral Home (219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675) on Monday, December 9th and Tuesday, December 10th from 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM. There will be a Memorial Service at Becker on Wednesday, December 11th at 10 AM.
Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and prayers. They truly helped.
Love,
Bernadette
