Holly’s Story

Background:

Deavon works in law enforcement and Holly is a sole owner of a small business, Studio Bea Dance. They married in July 2, 2022 and found out in August 2022 they were expecting their first child. Unfortunately, doctors found the pregnancy to be ectopic and required emergency surgery. They were left devastated and Holly lost one of her fallopian tube.

Fast forward to April 2023 and the couple found out they were expecting again and this time with twin girls!

August 9, 2023 Deavon and Holly attended a follow up appointment and were informed they would be admitted due to the cervix being nearly gone and the girls were ready to come out. After being life flighted to Iowa City Holly went into labor and birthed both girls at 21 weeks 6 days.

Lakelyn Marie Richards was born August 10, 2023 at 2:08 AM. She weighed .89 pounds and was 10.6 inches long. Unfortunately she passed away in the birthing process.

Wrenley Ryan Richards was born August 10, 2023 at 4:03 AM. She weighed .812 pounds and was 10.5 inches long. She was taken immediately to the NICU where she remains under great care.

Please also enjoy these “newborn” photos. We absolutely adore them. Wrenley was not very happy when we started the picture process but as soon as we placed Lakelyn on her she settled in and fell asleep. Thank you so much to Victoria with Meant to Fly Photography, she was able to capture our girls in the most beautiful way. 🩷🤍
