Rick loved life and he fought very hard for his. He never gave up until the last 2 days. He truly was a warrior in this fight he did not ask for. 

Watching someone you love fight cancer and struggle and suffer I learned is gut wrenching.  I also quickly learned that Hospice at home with someone that has multiple medical needs that have to be met is extremely difficult for loved ones to do. 

Making the decision to go to Trillium Woods was the best decision for all of us. The doctor felt he declined so quickly was because he was finally relaxed because we all were and he could let go. I am grateful he passed peacefully in my arms. 

My personal growth in this journey was profound. I am forever thankful for my tribe that I reached out to several times. Your love and support are what got me through the hardest moments in my life. Thank you simply is not enough, please know I am overwhelmingly grateful to everyone that has helped and continue to help.
