Reverend Mary’s Story

Site created on March 24, 2021

Welcome to Reverend Mary Yankee's CaringBridge page.  Mary has been dealing with metastatic breast cancer for 8 years, and has been given a lot of grace in terms of time and energy. In 2020, along with so much else in society, things began to shift downward for Mary and she is now in her final stage before graduating from this earth plane.

With the generous help of many people, Mary was  brought home to CT from where she was in a care facility in IL. On June 20th she took a medical flight that brought her directly to the Connecticut Hospice in Branford.

Mary has very limited energy for communications of any kind, so this is the place to leave your loving wishes, thoughts and prayers for her safe passage.

She loves to hear from people, and the messages can be read to her.  We will keep you updated. Let's all keep Mary in our thoughts and prayers.

Let’s all celebrate together the divine light we knew as Mary Yankee!

"Our real self, the soul, is immortal.  We may sleep for a little while in that change called death, but we can never be destroyed.  We exist, and that existence is eternal.  The wave comes to shore, and then goes back to sea; it is not lost.  It becomes one with the ocean, or returns again in the form of another wave.  This body had come, and it will vanish; but the soul essence within it will never cease to exist.  Nothing can terminate that eternal consciousness.
