Renee’s Story

Site created on August 2, 2018

Renee was diagnosed with breast cancer July 26th, 2018 and will be starting chemotherapy on  Wednesday, August 8. While we are naturally scared and know that we have some tough times ahead of us, we are forever hopeful and determined to get through it and cannot express how greatful and appreciative we are for all of the support and kind words of encouragement we have received from friends and family. We will know more after a few scans but are hopeful and praying for positive results. I will be updating this site periodically as we move forward with this process. We want to thank everyone for the love and support offered now and in the future.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Lucas Gebremariam

Renee had her final session of her AC treatment yesterday and continues to kick ass, completing the first cycle of her treatment! She will now get a much deserved 3 week break before she starts the second and final cycle of treatment. We are very excited to be done with this first cycle, as the oncologist told us the AC is a much more hardcore, immune suppressing medicine than her next treatment, taxol, will be!
On to the next one!
