Hello Everyone!
Tomorrow, 6/9, Renée will have a "dry run" of the next phase of her treatment. They will put her in the machine and make sure the images match up to the "mapping" markers they did on May 28th. Thursday 6/10, will be her first actual radiation treatment.  She'll go everyday, except weekends and holidays, through July 27th. Treatment could take anywhere from 5-15 minutes. 

 

After radiation she will follow up with her oncologist and start a new pill form of chemo. This is because she wasn't able to finish the 8 cycles of ACT chemo, and because a micromestatis (.18cm) was found in the lymph node they removed during her surgery.  This is a precautionary step to make sure anything that is remaining anywhere will be taken care of. The cycles are 2 weeks of taking pills daily and then 1 week off. It is uncertain how long this regimen will last, but an update will be sent as soon as she knows.
