Journal entry by Lori Teal —
Reme’s blood counts were finally high enough today to start chemo, so she will be receiving chemo this week. Celebration! There have been delays in chemo with her low blood counts, as well as her needing many transfusions and platelets. However, we are reassured by the team of oncologists that this is typical for this stage in the treatment process. We know our God is God of all Healers, and we are comforted by that. Reme is such a trooper but so ready to put this journey behind her. She’s ready to live a normal 11-year old life. The highlight of her week was being able to go pick out a couple outfits in a store that wasn’t busy in the middle of the week with her daddy and getting to have some distant, outside friend time with two of her best friends at her grandparents’ house over the weekend. She said it was the best week ever! It’s the little things! Please continue to pray for her and our family as we keep pushing forward.
