Newest Update

Journal entry by Heather Coombs

From Amy:

It’s been a while since we’ve updated on Regann. She keeps amazing us with her strength and determination to aid in her recovery.  Her left side deficit is getting stronger and stronger. She is now able to carry items with her left hand and the tremor in her right arm is lessening also. Another big step, she was able to take a shower alone, big progress!! Since being home, she has graduated from speech therapy at a graduate level. She will eventually be able to go back to school to get her master’s degree, which she is very excited about. She is currently doing PT and OT three times a week, at least through the end of May. Then hoping to go down to one - two days.
Also, she is off most medications. Some meds were having horrible side affects on her. Prayers she is able to get through these obstacles.
Today April 11, she had a follow up appointment with Cardio Vascular and was told the long QT between heartbeats is gone. Must have been a side affect from a certain med she was on. Thankful for that news! The heart looks healthy and strong. As long as she doesn’t have any more palpitations in the near future, we won’t have to go back to see Cardio for a while. In a couple weeks she will be back to have a CT on her brain and a CT on her arteries in her neck.
The road ahead is still long, but we can see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel with her determination along with the love and support from family and friends. She is going to come back stronger than ever ❤️❤️ Again, we want to thank everybody for all the kindness, loving thoughts and support for our family and herself. It means the world to us and especially Regann.
