Journal entry by Andrea Stevens —
The road to recovery after you have broken as many things as I have is long! On 10-29-18, I was involved in a motorcycle accident. After 12 broken bones, 3 dislocated body parts, a traumatic brain injury, 9 broken teeth, a lacerated spleen, and multiple lung injuries; I am a survivor!
I am at a point to where I am upright and mobile again, but I am facing another surgery on my jaw which didn't heal. I may possibly lose part of my jaw, and have to bone graft the piece they remove. The journey am I on has not been glistened by yellow bricks, and I am need of your help.
I am walking on my own now without a boot, but I am still learning how to walk again. My right hand and wrist are a work in progress, and hopefully I'll get full motion back to it eventually. This upcoming surgery is something I cannot afford, and I am asking for your help once again.
I want to thank you for your support in this ever trying time. Even though short term disability is helping, I am still facing very expensive medical bills. I am hoping through keeping this blog, you are able to keep up with my progress!
Thank you for all you do everyday, and thank you for keeping my family in your prayers.
